ANDREWS STAFF GET IN A SPIN TO BOOST HOMELESS CHARITY
By hrbrsd | Monday, December 10, 2012, 14:57
Staff
from Andrews' Estate Agents in Bishopston are hoping to build a brighter future
for the homeless by holding a 24 hour static bike spin challenge.
Both
the sales and lettings staff from the Gloucester Road-based branch
will be taking part in the challenge from December 17-18 with all monies raised
on the day going to the Estate Agency Foundation (EAF) which combats the causes
of homelessness.
For
those who want to come along and cheer the cyclists on there will be a raffle,
cake, tea and coffee sale, guess the bear's name and guess the number of sweets
in a jar competition.
Lettings
manager Ellie Donaghy said: "We are all really excited about the challenge
as this is a cause which is very close to our hearts. Andrews is one of the
founding members of the EAF and continues to raise money for the organisation
every year.
"We
spend our time finding or letting homes for people who are fortunate enough to
have the financial security to do so, but it is important not to lose sight of
the thousands of people across the country who find themselves living on the
streets.
"What
is fantastic about the event is that Barclays bank has agreed to match all
money raised in the challenge for the Estate Agency Foundation campaign.
"We
are hoping to do our bit to make someone's Christmas a little bit more warmer,
safe and secure by supporting this fantastic cause and look forward to seeing
as many people during the ride!"
The spinathon is taking place from 7.30 am on
Monday 17 December at 80/82 Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol,
BS7 8BN
