A pub on Broad Street, Bristol, is offering groups of friends and family the perfect venue to get into the festive spirit and watch Christmas movies together this holiday season.

The newly revamped Horts has added a 26-seat cinema and is showing a series of classic Christmas films throughout December, including Home Alone, Elf, Miracle on 34th Street and The Grinch.

The cinema, named The Director's Cut, features individual leather armchairs complete with cosy rugs and cushions perfect for curling up in on a cold winter's day and guests visiting the restaurant can access the cinema free of charge after their meal.

Horts general manager Richard Fairchild said: "Everybody loves a Christmas movie so we've designed a special schedule filled with some of the best festive films throughout December to really get people into the spirit of things!

"Mainstream cinemas don't show the classics we'll be playing and we offer a luxury setting where guests can enjoy a drink and a pizza or freshly made popcorn while they watch.

"Dinner and a movie is a great way for friends and family to spend time together and as the cold nights draw in we're expecting the cinema to be packed out!"

Horts is one of Bristol's oldest and favourite venues and has undergone a refurbishment with a fresh and cosy new look and brand new menu.

The new cinema will show everything from the latest releases to old classics and Richard is even willing to take requests.

He continued: "We're really excited about the potential for the cinema, as well as showing fun and interesting films it can also be used for private groups and corporate hire and big sporting events.

"The feedback so far has been fantastic so we're looking forward to seeing how our seasonal programme will go down.

"We're showing the Christmas movies as well as our normal schedule of chick flicks, action movies, kid's favourites and box set specials.

"Guests can visit the cinema for free after dining with us or if they don't fancy eating on that particular day we'll give them a voucher for their meals next time they visit."
