It's come to that time of year again when we are bombarded with Christmas adverts on the telly every three seconds, fairy lights adorning every shop window and your children tugging your shirt for the latest toy on the block. If you find that it's all getting a bit much fear not, as we can offer up some fantastic gift ideas to take the stress out of your Christmas list. Cheltenham Road and Gloucester Road accommodates some real gems for that special lady in your life. Whether it's your wife, girlfriend, mother or sister there's always something perfect for them along this strip.

First up is Cox & Baloney located on Cheltenham Road, just up from the Colston Girl's school. Not only is it adorable from the outside, showcasing their array of hard-to-find classic novels and beautiful vintage pieces, it also offers some of the more exciting workshops in the city. If your lady loves a rare vintage dress or a customised piece of jewellery then look no further. If you're feeling a bit more spontaneous then sign her up to one of their infamous workshops whether it be screen writing, knitting or garment repair and alteration, that tailor or film-lover in her will adore this unique gift.

If she's got a bit more bite, then pop into Beast. You'll find crazy wellies, hilarious slogan tee's and other great gift ideas. Just up from the arches you'll find Bamba Beads. It may look daunting from the outside but the staff are extra friendly and will help you to create that perfect necklace, bracelet or pair of earrings. The great thing about this shop is that you can make it unique to your lady, down to the very last bead. And if you're feeling adventurous, you can even put it together yourself. If not, the staff will happily put it together for you at a reasonable price. Plus, you can pick it up the very same day.

Next, there's Pink Lemons located just opposite the Prom on Gloucester Road. For the lady with a bit more of an expensive taste, this independent clothes shop offers beautiful clothes on beautiful labels that'll make you delve a little deeper into your pockets. It's worth it if you're looking for something more unique than the high street and will definitely score you some brownie points.

If the lady in your life has a sweet tooth, then look no further than Scrumptiously Sweet. Stocking the best in old school sweeties and a few new favourites, there's plenty to choose from. You can either pick your favourites yourself or the staff are happy to offer up variety boxes and gift ideas if you get stuck. If she loves music, Clic Sargent offer up some real bargains when it comes to vintage records. You'll definitely have to have a proper sift through, but the results can really surprise you. Furthermore, the shop supplies a range of vintage clothes, books, handbags and accessories. Plus, it's all for charity! What more could you want. Make sure you pop into the St Peters Hospice shop too!

Further up the Gloucester Road, you'll find the delightful shop of Iota. This is the perfect place to be when you get really stuck for ideas. If she loves to cook, you can find quirky chopping boards and adorable cups and saucers. If she loves jewellery, the shop offers a small but beautiful range of unique pieces. If she loves to read and write, there's some very cute notepads and pens to feast your eyes on. If you're really looking to treat her, then why not book an appointment at Samuel David Hairdressing. Offering a range of services including colouring, extensions and eye-catching cuts, this gift comes at the perfect time with New Years Eve just around the corner. So those are just a few ideas for the women in your life, proving that you should always give Gloucester Road a go! Happy shopping.
