Harry goes from villain to hero

HARRY Collett played a key part at both ends of the pitch as Stoke Lane Under-11s drew 2-2 with an excellent Buccaneers Whites team at St Ursula's.
After a goalless first half, the match sprung to life when a fine run and shot from Lane's Harry Goldspink found Matt Harmer in space to get the final touch and deflect the ball through the home goalkeeper's legs. Thomas Broom struck for Buccaneers with a fine left-footed strike and they went 2-1 up in the closing minutes with an own goal when a cross deflected in off the unfortunate Collett's knee.
However, Collett proved the Stoke Lane saviour moments later when he went up for a corner and blasted the ball into the roof of the net from the edge of the box to equalise and ruin Buccaneers' hopes of claiming top spot.
Thornbury Town B Under-13s were in red-hot form as they overcame Redland Raiders 8-1 with four Louis Ogilvie goals and further strikes by Tom Stockton (2), Josh Stuart and Felix Brittain.
Town also hit the crossbar twice through the prolific Ogilvie and Alex Hall, while Tom Constable blasted narrowly over.
Raiders kept trying and Luke McGuire's goal was just reward for their efforts.
