Throughout February Half Term (9-17 February) children get entry to Bristol Zoo for just £5 when they bring the following pieces of fruit and veg with them.

•    Carrot

•    Apple

•    Pear

•    Broccoli

•    Lettuce

The fresh brought taken to the Zoo will be collected by keepers and used to feed the animals as part of their daily balanced diet.

There will also be five special talks and feeds running throughout the February half term...

•    Gorillas* 12.30pm

•    Feed the lorikeets** (Weekdays: 1pm to 2pm, Weekends: 1pm to 3pm)

•    Meerkats* 2.00pm

•    Penguins* 3.00pm

•    Seals* 3.30pm

After gaining entry into the Zoo, kids need to deposit their fruit and veg into the collection box situated just inside the Zoo grounds.

*The gorilla, penguin, meerkat and seal talks include feeding by trained staff members. These are not opportunities for members of the public to feed the animals.

**Feed the lorikeets is subject to a small charge for nectar
