Pieminister Bristol celebrates its eighth birthday with big pie giveaway in Redland

One of Bristol's most well-loved institutions, Pieminister, celebrated its 8th birthday this week - buy giving out free pies to people in various locations across the city.

Pieminister Bristol is 8 years old.
Those quick enough were able to grab themselves a free, delicious pie from outside Zios on Whiteladies Road and near The Flyer on Gloucester Road as well as from the Stokes Croft shop, which first opened on December 15, 2003.
Pieminister, which is famed for its tasty homemade pies, has grown from strength to strength over the years - and now has several shops in Bristol and in London. They have also gone on to become a staple of the festival circuit, appearing at festivals across the country. Many pubs and delis across Redland and Bristol now serve pieminister pies as part of their offerings too.
Their permament pie menu includes a range of well-thought out meat and vegetarian options and they have just added a fish pie to the list as well as some mouth-watering sweet pies. They introduced some new Royal pies for the Royal wedding earlier this year and their Christmas pies are back on the menu at the moment.
Each and every one of pieminister's original range of pies is an award winner - they contain only fresh, responsibly sourced, free range, natural ingredients many of which are sourced from the West Country.
Pieminister, no relation to Fishminister on Whiteladies Road, remains a family-run business, making all its products in-house where founders Jon Simon and Tristan Hogg still personally oversee the making and baking of them all.
Viva le Pieminister!

ReportOh my gosh, I can't believe they're 8 years old! Where has the time gone! I was lucky enough to get a free pie from The Flyer by accident but I was a bit disappointed as it was a fish one and I hate seafood! It was a nice idea anyway, but next time I want the Heidi pie!
