Fantastic Latin Solo classes held across central and west Bristol. These are really fun classes looking at Salsa, Cha Cha Cha , Rumba & Samba, and the various stepping patterns within each dance style, whilst taking the time to look at weight exchange, styling, musicality etc.
Dance is such a fabulous way to meet new friends, get toned up (Latin is particularly good for strengthening those core muscles), and boost your confidence. This is solo, rather than partner, dance, so you don’t need to worry about dancing with anyone that you don’t know. All ages and abilities (and three left feet!) are welcome, so why not come along, get your hips moving, learn some new dance styles and release your inner Goddess!
New ‘Latin I’ (beginners/improvers) classes starting soon in:
Failand Village Hall - Monday evening @ 8.30pm
Redland (Redland Club, Burlington Road) – Friday morning @ 9.30am
Cotham Parish Church – Wednesday morning @ 10am
Bristol Community Dance Centre – Sundays (starting 6th November 2011): Latin I (beginners) @ 5pm, Latin II (intermediate) @ 6.15pm
Also, if you need to get back in trim after having your babe, or want a fun, high impact dance workout to keep you zingy during the winter months, then try our SlimDance classes. These are stylish Latin-inspired workout classes using well-known (and gorgeous!) tunes, with other dance styles appearing in the mix (for example Jive, Hip Hop, Bellydance & Bollywood). These classes are drop-in, cost £5.50 per session, and currently run on:
Mondays: Henleaze Trinity URC (Bradbury Hall) @ 11.30am.
Tuesdays: The Crypt under Victoria Methodist Church, 1a Whiteladies Road @ 10.30am.
Thursdays: The Dance Studio at Cotham School @ 5.45pm.
Fridays: The Tobacco Factory @ 6.30pm.
Sundays: Long Ashton Village Hall @ 6.30pm.
You will leave with a big smile on your face, and feel full of energy, so why not pop along and give it a try?
