Fishminster Whiteladies Road, Bristol, due to open this month...apparently

For months I've been walking past the empty looking Fishminster shop on Whiteladies Road in Bristol longing for it to open.

The previously empty shop was suddenly decorated with the distinctive Fishminster sign months ago and people immediately started getting excited about it opening.
Local news sites picked up on it and it was embraced as a welcome addition to Whiteladies Road.
Back in April Fishminster advertised for staff for the new branch on it's newly launched Twitter page, which would lead you to think it would open shortly afterwards - sadly not.
Another staff advert on Gumtree announced the opening date as June 7
There is of course another couple of local chippies but Fishminster, is a similar proposition to the Bristol-based (and now world famous) Pieminister though is not run by the same people, the creme de la creme of fish and chip shops.
There's one south of the river in Bedminster but that's a bit of a trek for us folk in Redland north of the river.
Fishminster says that its philosophy is simple - offer the freshest, tastiest fish and chips using the best ingredients at an unbeatable price. Bring it on!
Here's hoping it ruddy well opens on time this time...
