The adorable Cox and Baloney Boutique, which was resident in the Woolies Indoor Market has moved to a new premises in Cheltenham Road.

Harking back to a much more personal shopping day when the products were top quality, the staff friendly and chatty and the vibe laid back and welcoming, the boutique has a lot going for it.

And it was easy to see during the launch party on Saturday that this is a welcome addition to the Cheltenham Road drag of furniture shops and old pubs.

Walking into the pretty little boutique it appears to be a treasure chest of old dusty (but dusty in a good way) books. But further inspection reveals that it is also a tea shop and through the back there's a relatively large section selling and renting out wonderful vintage goods.

Until now, the boutique had been trading from the Woolies Indoor Market on Whiteladies Road (the former Woolworths Store).

The owners of the store say they offer: "One-off collectables and vintage treasures, unique pieces of original vintage clothing and accessories with an edgy, modern twist as well as bespoke home-made vintage-style lamps and furniture created using recycled and locally sourced materials."

Of their new location they said: "Gorgeous people, gorgeous street, gorgeous weather - we love our new location!"

So if you're a Cox and Baloney fan and was wondering where it had disappeared to then check out the new Cheltenham Road premises. It's just a shame not all shops are as lovely as this one!

PS.There may just be some more space at Woolies Indoor Market for another Redland business.
