Cycling Sunday at Redland Green

Following last weekend's social bike ride from Redland to Ashton Court, the Cycling City Club are running Cycling Sunday at Redland Green on September 20th.
The day is part of a long-term initiative aimed at encouraging more of us to travel by bike by providing targeted advice, support and resources for all ages.
Cycling City staff members will be at the green all afternoon from 12-4 with a range of activities for adults and children. Anyone thinking of taking up cycling, new cyclists, and those interested in cycling with their families are particularly welcome.
The programme includes:
12am-4pm Dr Bike (adjacent to Tennis courts)
12am-4pm A chance to try family cycling equipment - child seats, tag alongs or bike trailers (adjacent to children's play area).
12am-4pm Have a go on an electric bike (adjacent to children's play area)
1pm Teach your child to ride a bike (meet outside Parish Hall)
2.30pm Children's Treasure Hunt (meet outside Parish Hall).
1pm-4pm Meet the Cycling Advisors - cycling advice, support, help, leaflets and maps. (Redland Parish Church Hall.
The Cycling City initiative has been awarded government funding of £22.8 million and aims to double the number of regular cyclists in Greater Bristol by 2011. At present 5% of all journeys in Bristol are made by bike.
