‘Life’s a dream’ - that’s the view according to George Brownett, now that he has moved into his new home at Crest Nicholson’s Harbourside development.

George, 53, previously of Yeovil, made the move to Bristol in July with wife Violeta after they found themselves spending so much time in the city visiting the many attractions, restaurants and Hippodrome theatre.

Once they had decided to make the move, choosing the right property was a breeze.

George explains: “Harbourside is absolutely perfect for us; everything we love is within walking distance and the views from the apartments are just phenomenal.”

George and Violeta moved into a two-bedroom apartment at the waterside development which boasts stunning westerly views that takes in the ss Great Britain.

The couple’s sizable balcony enables them to make the most of the enviable vista and the generous proportions of the home mean they have not had to compromise on size.

George said: “Living in Yeovil we were forever driving over an hour to come and be in Bristol; we loved the vibrancy of the city so much and now that we actually live here we can’t believe it’s real – my wife keeps asking when we are going to wake up!

“Living at Harbourside really is like being on holiday – the best thing is not having the stress of keeping up the maintenance of a house because everything is already perfect; we now have no responsibilities and we are just free to enjoy life.”

Moving from their four-bedroom detached house in Yeovil to a waterside apartment in Bristol’s city centre was a big decision but according to George they couldn’t be happier. The director of his own avionic systems company, George can now walk to work and is loving the unique positioning of his new home.

“Just last week we went to the theatre to watch Beauty & the Beast and it took us less than 15 minutes to walk to, it’s fantastic. Everything is right on our doorstep but we still have magnificent views and a beautiful home. Looking out of the window every morning onto the ss Great Britain is unbelievable; I don’t think the novelty will ever wear off.

“We did look at a property on Park Street but owning a home right on the water was too much of a pull for us to ignore. The team at Crest Nicholson have been fantastic in accommodating our needs – we moved in four weeks after we saw the apartment and haven’t looked back since.”

Sales and Marketing Director Susan Young said: “Crest Nicholson’s Harbourside development is one of the most popular and sought after locations in Bristol at the moment. Its city centre location teamed with the beautiful views over Bristol’s historic floating harbour gives it the edge over other developments in the city.

“The properties at Harbourside are perfect for those looking to downsize. The high specification makes it easy to move straight in and we are thrilled the Brownetts are enjoying their new home so much.”

Prices currently start from £275,000.
