If you've got something to say about anything that's happening in the Redland area, why not use this site to say it?

With over 20% of the local online population currently using the site there are lots of ways to connect with local readers. As the site covers the areas in and around Cotham, St Andrews, Gloucester Road and Bishopston as well as Redland itself, there's always plenty going on.
The what's on section is where anyone can list events - anything from gigs to jumble sales, sports matches to political rallies.
If you want to make more people aware of the event (and why wouldn't you?) you can feature it on the home page. There is a space where you can add information about the event, or anything else that is happening in Redland. It's the white space under the heading "What's Happening in Redland?" You can use it to share your thoughts, publicise an event or share a short piece of news. It doesn't have to be dramatic news. As a local site, we want to hear about what's happening with local sports clubs, transport issues, environmental initiatives or concerns, as well as news from schools, the university and clubs.
For longer pieces of news, click on the write tab. You've got plenty of space there to write a news story or express an opinion. Use the spellcheck and include a link back to your site if you want. Don't forget, you can comment on any story that has already been uploaded - and other site users can comment on yours.
Photos can be shared via the galleries tab. Share your local photos and have a look at what's already there.
If you're part of a local club or society, why not create a group for your club on Redland People? All your events, news and photos will be accessible from that group's page and you'll find it easy to connect with other local readers via Redland People as well. Much less hassle (and cost) then creating your own web site. Click on the groups tab to get started.
If you run a local business, get it listed for free on the Business Directory and get it featured on the site. Make sure you add news about the business - open days, promotions and other developments.
The aim of Redland People is to be a central online meeting place for sharing local news and views. So get writing, taking photos, sharing news and events or just tell us what's happening on your street.
