Residents in Redland and Cotham

are being offered a range of opportunities to meet with their local

police officers in the run up to Christmas - and get some free security

resources in the process.

Local

Community Support Officer Mateusz Borkowski of the Redland Beat is

holding a number of surgeries for members of the public to get help and

advice on any local policing issues. These surgeries will run at the

Somerfield petrol station on Gloucester Road on November 25th and on

the 9th and 23rd of December, all between 5.00 and 8.00 pm. Daytime

surgeries, meanwhile, will take place at St Andrew's Park on three

Wednesdays in December - the 2nd, 16th and 30th - from 12.00 noon till

4.00 pm.

In addition, the next PACT meeting

(Partners and Communities Together) will take place on Thursday

November 26th at Redland Green School from 6.30 - 7.30 pm. All members

of the public are welcome to attend and the focus will be on policing

issues within the Redland ward.

Finally, the Redland

Neighbourhood Policing Team is running a free cycle tagging event on

Thursday 17th December in order to tackle cycle theft in the run up to

Christmas. The tags are linked to the immobilise.com website and will

make it easier for the police to identify lost or stolen bikes.

The

free tagging events are taking place throughout the day at three

separate locations: Horfield Common from 10.00 am - 12.00 noon,

Somerfield petrol station on Gloucester Road from 1.00 to 3.00 and,

finally, Clifton Down Shopping Centre from 4.00 -6.00 pm.
