Redland's Burglary Reduction Plan takes a step forward in the new year with a series of police surgeries in Redland, Clifton and Cotham aimed at helping residents guard their expensive Christmas items.

Local police and Community Support Officers will use the sessions -

held at local libraries - to show householders how to register their

valuables online. Those living in the burglary hot spots of

Bishopotson, Redland, Cotham, Ashley Down or Montpelier will also be

able to book a free crime reduction visit to their flat or house, part

of an ongoing initiative to secure properties and deter burglars.

The surgeries will also provide opportunities for free cycle tagging.

Surgeries will be held on

Friday 5 February 2 - 5pm - Cheltenham Road Library (opposite Colston's Girls' School)Wednesday 10 February 2-5 pm - Clifton Library, Princess Victoria StreetThursday 11 February 3 - 6 pm - Redland Library, Whiteladies Road
