Good for sport

Well set out with lots of tvs and you don't get drunken idiots yelling and looking for trouble.

the bishops is ok but there is better on gloucester road

its a bit of a chain pub and feels like that but its got a good juke box, pool table and plenty of space. the drinks are good too and it does brothers cider.

    Good for watching footie

Cheap but good food and a good selection of beers. Good for watching footie in the winter too. What more could you want from a pub??

The Bishops - best pub on Cheltenham Road

As much as I love twee old man pubs sometimes you want somewhere with enough space to sit with a group of mates and The Bishops is it. It has a good range of drinks at reasonable prices and a menu of pub grub to soak up the booze. It's also got screens to watch sport and sitting by the window is a good place to watch the world go by.

Spacious pub with good cheap food

I'd been avoiding this place for a while cos from the outside it looks like another identikit Hogshead type pub. But it's not. For starters, it's not Hogshead or Wetherspoons or any other of the big boy chains, but it does have the benefit of that type of place in that the food is really reasonably priced - and pretty yummy. And the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc they serve is possibly the nicest white wine I've ever had!
