Snowboarders are asked to check their equipment after a snowboard believed to be stolen was recovered from a house in Bristol.

A police spokesman said: "Earlier this month we conducted a search of a burglary suspect's home and recovered property believed to have been stolen. Enquiries are underway to return the property but we need help identifying the owner of a snowboard which we believe to have been stolen."

PC Mark Humphrey is the officer hoping to reunite the snowboard with its owner. Speaking about the quest he said: "This is a distinctive snowboard and I am convinced someone will recognise it as theirs.

"It does not match any description of stolen property on our system and it may be the owner has not yet realised it is missing. It would be terrible if someone had booked a snowboarding holiday and only noticed it was missing as they packed for holiday. If you recognise this snowboard please check to see if yours is safe – and if it isn't then give us a call."

If you think this snowboard might be yours please call PC Mark Humphrey on 101.
