Nice ambiance and far enough away to keep out those just seeking cheap drinks and a burger.

Lovely pub with a good daytime atmosphere (we haven't made it here in the evening yet). The food is well-cooked (a tad expensive) but worth it, and we like eating Sunday lunch here. We went with friends with a baby and it was really child-friendly, so that they could relax and eat their lunch. Service is friendly too. Can definitely recommend.
The Kensington Arms is the perfect kind of gastropub the food is great, the restaurant ambience is nice, and its a damn fine pub too. They tend to have 3 ales on, all of which are good, and the food is really to quality and quite creative too. The only thing against it would maybe be the prices, but frankly its one of the best pubs in Bristol so you wont care.
This is a very high quality establishment. A healthy mix of client£ ranging from students to young families. Located in a quiet corner of Redland near the train station. The food here really is excellent, especially the Sunday roast! For those who prefer eating/drinking outdoors, the beer garden is extensive and well heated. Not very many pubs in the immediate area here (unlike Whiteladies Road) so it maintains the air of being a proper local pub.
